Gobbledigook

dvd3-img2305.jpg

It is most likely that I’m the last person to comment on sigur rós new single today but I’m going to anyway.

Gobbledigook was released today on their website for free. Gotta be happy for the new freedom to the artists love that we are scoring with all these freebies online. So its…kinda weird. But I think I like it. Its totally different for sigur rós and it makes me wonder what else they are capable of. As much as I adore this band, I did have them pigeon holed, so this is impressive that they have come up with something completely different.

The video ain’t exactly safe for work, and I don’t think I REALLY need to see that many man bits flopping around but it fits the song. Check out the single and the video at sigur rós

Check out new stuff at dot.

The album is released on my freakin birthday! OH YEAH!

Sneaky Peek!

Jen has put up a sneaky peek of the ‘For the Love of Light’ Polaroid book on flickr.

teaser.jpg

This could possibly be the cover, but who knows! Its getting so close now and I’m getting excited about it! Look at those images. I absolutely adore the top right image with the little girl. I’m super excited just to have a book that will contain all these images, let alone one that includes mine in it.

Keep an eye on the website for updates!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones NERDI have been worried that it would be Star Wars all over again, that Harrison Ford would have forgotten who Indiana was and that George Lucas would have been caught up in special effects. Thankfully none of this happened.

Its not the best Indiana Jones movie made, but it certainly did not leave me disappointed. There could have been more of that famous Jones humour and the alien thing was a bit odd, but overall, it gets a thumbs up. Cate Blanchett is great and perfect as a Indy movie German (AHERM- EDIT: Russian!- Thank you to Angus for pointing this out. I must have been asleep during that part of the plot) baddie. Shia LeBouf had me concerned but he didn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth as I had worried he would.

I guess because we have seen Harrison Ford age over the years, seeing him as Indiana now wasn’t that shocking. However, Karen Allen seems to have aged about a hundred years since Raiders and she seemed like an old lady next to him. Not the usual Indiana Jones leading lady, that’s for sure.

I will most likely see it again. If you love the Indy films, you should like this one.

BAD, BAD BLOGGER!

Since the last post I’ve had 2 weeks holiday, been to Melbourne and back, gone back to work and blown up my hot water system.

Gundagai AutumnThis is 2008 and I had to live without hot water for 5 days. I know there are far more important and intense hardships in life, but seriously, 5 days? What kind of barbarians do these people think we are? Thankfully the hot water is now back on and I had one hell of a hot shower tonight, let me tell you.

MoooLots of photos of Melbourne are over on flickr, Radiohead kicked off their tour in the States today and I am currently in love with Allison Goldfrapp. I’ve always been a fan and loved their albums but lately I can’t get enough and have been listening to Seventh Tree over and over.

Seventh TreeI have spoken about the gorgeous artwork on the album before but its photography like that that makes me want to be a real photographer. Its the kind of photography that to me is what its all about. Gorgeous light that drips like honey, colours that are so yummy you could eat them and a little bit of cheek. A good looking model also helps.

Goldfrapp, when are you coming to Australia?

Apparently its Autumn.
