Ho..Ho..Ho?

A Reminder has completed the Top 25 Aussie Bands/ Artists list for a third year and Gotye has taken out the number 1 spot. Congratulations Wally!

Its great to see The Basics in there at number 4 as well. Each year Sean of A Reminder asks Australian music bloggers and a few other musically minded folk to compile their top 25 in order. I love that Sean started this list a few years back and now it gets mentioned on radio and the winners swing by to say thanks (check out Kris from The Basics’ comments).

* rain falling outside while snuggled in bed.

* when my pooch pounces down like he’s some attack dog

* how sean laughs at my pathetic fight skills

* coffee meetings with the Elizabeth

* all the lovely comments I’ve been getting on flickr lately

* the first smell of mangoes and peaches in summer.

* being told I ‘look beautiful today” by Kindergarteners.

* knowing that in a few months I will get to share one of the happiest experiences with my boy. Sean and I have both wanted to see Bjork for so many years now, long before we even knew each other. We connected over a little lady from Iceland and one of my favourite memories from our first months of being a couple was laying in the dark alone, listening to Vespertine together for the first time. And now we get to see her live for the first time and that we get to share that experience together is really special to me. Its not often that it happens because he has seen so many bands before. I’m just really happy that he and I will get to share that moment together. :)

Many years ago my photography was featured in the fabulous online mag, All Things Girl which is run by the incredibly talented Lorissa Shepstone.

The ladies have just done a big revamp of All Things Girl and I am once again featured in the current issue called “Fresh”.
